Print & Digital Media
As Creative Director of The Deputy Magazine, I help shape the publication from concept to completion, combining editorial storytelling, visual design and strategic communication to showcase the people, programs and stories behind the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
My work includes developing story concepts, writing and editing content, designing layouts, selecting and coordinating imagery, maintaining a consistent visual identity and preparing each edition for digital publication and distribution.
Each edition is designed to feel more like a modern editorial publication than a traditional government newsletter. The goal is to create something visually engaging enough to draw readers in while using thoughtful storytelling to give them a deeper look at the people and work behind the agency.
Each edition is also prepared for digital distribution, extending long-form department storytelling beyond print and creating content that can be shared across web, email and social platforms.
